Lviv was founded by prince Danil Galitsky in 1256 and was named in honor of the son Lev Daniilovich. The city is the historical and cultural center of Galicia, in Western Ukraine. It is located on distance of 70 km from border with Poland. The historical city center is included in the list of the world heritage of UNESCO.
