The center of the Ternopil region is known for its castles, falls, caves and the rivers. Picturesque routes of alloys on the Dnestrovsky canyon, routes of travel to caves, to the highest flat Dzhurinsky falls and an ancient rocky temple in Monastyrka begin from here.

The first mention of a city goes to 1540 when the Polish King and the grand duke Lithuanian Sigismund I gave out the document on possession of the earth to great crowned hetman Yan Tarnavsky. Since then the city was called Tarnopol and only in 1944 the name was replaced with Ternopol.

Today Ternopil is 4th city on size of the Western Ukraine, it is located in the Galicia region center, important automobile and railway roads cross the city — from Kiev and Eastern Ukraine to Lvov, to Lutsk and further to Europe.

Ternopol is a tourist city. Its main sightseeing is 300 hectare Ternopol pond. It is necessary to notice, that there are lakes in city center only in two cities of Europe.

There are 21 constructions of “RTM-Ukraine” 6х3m boards installed in Ternopol.
